Q: Who is eligible to apply for a ChargeFun card?

A: Currently, ChargeFun cards are available to US residents who are 18 years or older with a valid government ID. We plan to expand to other regions soon.

Q: Does applying for a ChargeFun card affect my credit score?

A: No. We do not perform a traditional credit check, so applying for a ChargeFun card will not impact your credit score.

Q: What information do I need to provide during the application?

A: You'll need to provide:

  • Full legal name

  • Date of birth

  • Address information

  • Occupation and annual income

  • Expected monthly usage

  • Government ID for verification

Q: How long does the application review process take?

A: Most applications receive an instant decision. Some applications may require additional verification, which can take 1-3 business days.

Q: Why might my application require additional verification?

A: Additional verification may be required if:

  • There are discrepancies in the information provided

  • Your identity needs further confirmation

  • Your application triggers standard security protocols

  • You're in a high-risk location

Q: What should I do if my application is denied?

A: If your application is denied, you'll receive an explanation. Common reasons include:

  • Incomplete or incorrect information

  • Unable to verify identity

  • Regulatory restrictions You may reapply after 30 days, addressing any issues mentioned in the denial.

Card Issuance

Q: How long after approval until I receive my card?

A: Your virtual card is issued immediately after approval. You can access it right away in the app.

Q: Is there a physical card option?

A: Currently, we only offer virtual cards. Physical cards are planned for a future release.

Q: Are there any fees for the card?

A: There are no application fees, annual fees, or monthly maintenance fees. The only fees are:

  • 1% fee when topping up your card from crypto

  • 1% foreign transaction fee for non-USD purchases

Q: What is the spending limit on my card?

A: Your spending limit is equal to your available balance. There are daily and monthly transaction limits for security purposes.

Using Your Card

Q: Where can I use my ChargeFun card?

A: Your ChargeFun Visa Platinum card is accepted anywhere Visa is accepted, both online and in-person when added to a digital wallet.

Q: Can I use my card internationally?

A: Yes, your card works for international purchases. A 1% foreign transaction fee applies for non-USD transactions.

Q: How do I add funds to my card?

A: You can top up your card by:

  1. Going to the Card page

  2. Tapping "Top Up"

  3. Selecting a token from your wallet

  4. Entering the amount to convert to USD

Q: How quickly are funds available after topping up?

A: Funds are typically available within 1-3 minutes after confirmation.

Q: Can I withdraw cash with my ChargeFun card?

A: Currently, the ChargeFun card does not support ATM withdrawals or cash advances.

Card Security

Q: How do I keep my card secure?

A: To keep your card secure:

  • Never share your full card details

  • Use the freeze feature when not using your card

  • Enable transaction notifications

  • Regularly check your transaction history

  • Use secure networks when making online purchases

Q: What should I do if I suspect fraudulent activity?

A: If you suspect fraud:

  1. Immediately freeze your card in the app

  2. Report the suspicious transactions to support

  3. Our team will investigate and issue a new card if necessary

Q: Can I freeze and unfreeze my card?

A: Yes, you can freeze and unfreeze your card at any time through the app. When frozen, all new transactions will be declined until you unfreeze it.

Q: Are my card details stored securely?

A: Yes, your card details are encrypted and only revealed when you explicitly request to view them using the eye icon.

Troubleshooting

Q: What if my card is declined?

A: Your card might be declined if:

  • You have insufficient funds

  • Your card is frozen

  • The merchant doesn't accept virtual cards

  • The transaction exceeds your limits

  • The merchant's payment processor has restrictions

Q: How do I dispute a transaction?

A: To dispute a transaction:

  1. Go to the transaction in your history

  2. Tap "Report an Issue"

  3. Follow the prompts to submit your dispute

  4. Our team will investigate and respond within 5-7 business days

Q: What happens if I lose access to my phone?

A: If you lose access to your phone:

  1. Log in to your ChargeFun account on another device

  2. Freeze your card immediately

  3. Contact support for additional security measures
