Adding Funds

Overview

ChargeFun offers multiple ways to add funds to your account. Whether you want to purchase new tokens, top up your card, or receive funds from another user, this guide covers all the options available to you.

Methods to Add Funds

1. Direct Token Purchase with Cards (through MoonPay)

Purchase tokens directly using your credit or debit card through our MoonPay integration:

1. Navigate to the Swap page

2. Select Debit/Credit Card as your payment method

3. Enter the amount in USD you wish to spend

4. Select the token you want to purchase

5. Click Buy with Card

6. Complete the secure payment process on MoonPay

7. MoonPay will first purchase SOL, ChargeFun will then process that transaction to the token you initially chose on the backend.

8. Tokens will be added to your wallet automatically with a notification in your Dashboard.

2. External Wallet Transfer

Transfer crypto from an external wallet to your ChargeFun wallet:

1. Navigate to your Dashboard page and click Add Funds then Receive

2. Copy your ChargeFun wallet address

3. From your external wallet, send tokens to this address

4. Funds will appear in your ChargeFun wallet once the transaction is confirmed

Supported Networks:

• Solana (SOL and all SPL tokens)

IMPORTANT: Refer to the Available Tokens supported by ChargeFun for reference

Note: Always verify you're sending tokens on the correct network to avoid loss of funds.

3. Receiving from Another ChargeFun User

Receive funds directly from another ChargeFun user:

1. Share your ChargeFun ID or wallet address with the sender

2. They can send you funds through their Send Money feature

3. Transfers between ChargeFun users are typically instant

4. Card Top-Up

Add funds to your ChargeFun card from your crypto wallet:

1. Navigate to the Card page

2. Tap Top Up

3. Select the token you wish to use for funding

4. Enter the amount to convert to USD for your card

5. Review the conversion rate and fee

6. Confirm the transaction

7. Funds will be available on your card once processed (typically 1-2 minutes)

The Top-Up Process:

• Your selected token is swapped to fiat

• It is then bridged to your card account

• The entire process typically takes 1-3 minutes

• You'll receive a notification when complete

Understanding Fees

Each funding method involves different fees:

• MoonPay Purchases: 3-5% processing fee (varies by payment method and location)

• External Transfers: Standard Solana network fees (typically <$0.01)

• ChargeFun Transfers: No fees between users

• Card Top-Up: Includes a small swap fee

Tips for Successful Funding

• For first-time MoonPay users, start with a smaller amount to ensure everything works correctly

• When topping up your card, ensure you have slightly more than the amount you want to convert to account for fees

• Keep some SOL in your wallet for transaction fees (we typically cover all blockchain fees)

• For large transfers, consider splitting them into smaller amounts

Troubleshooting

Common Issues:

1. MoonPay purchase stuck: Refresh the page or check your email for verification steps from MoonPay

2. External transfer not showing: Confirm the transaction on the blockchain explorer and verify you sent to the correct address

3. Card top-up failed: Ensure you have sufficient balance including fees and try again

4. Rate errors: If conversion rates aren't loading, wait a few minutes and try again
